The Whistle Stop Family Restaurant

GREAT FOOD. Small town family feeling. The owner is super nice and attentive when not cooking. You can tell she really loves good food and her diner.

I cannot express how much if a hidden jewel this amazing place is. The menu had great options for all. The staff was top notch and Cathy who I am pretty sure is the proprietor of the place was a pleasure to interact with and made me and my children feel like it wasn't our first time there but instead our normal Sunday tradition we had been doing for years. I live in Vancouver and it is a bit of a drive so beyond worth it. I added a photo of the meatloaf I recieved and I had to take a picture of it. I never take photos of my food. I even go as far as to give friends a hard time when they do. This place made me so happy I took a food photo. I think that is all I can think to say. If you read this far just go in and see then you can just give a review that says damn Matt was correct.

My husband and I had breakfast at the Whistle Stop Restaurant. Everything was great! I had the veggie omelette which had fresh ingredients such as mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc. It was delicious. It was very clean and the owner was very friendly. Try out this restaurant in Yacolt

Love this little restaurant.... Excellent service and great food! Prices are very reasonable.... No need to go all the way into town.

This was my second time being here for breakfast. The chicken fried steak and gravy is excellent. I travel for business often and have eaten in restaurants that are supposedly "top quality" and their breakfast didn't compare to this and they charged 40% more. Luckily I only live 15min away and will be able to visit often. Cathy is great to talk to and really cares about the quality and service. Great quality food, priced right. Thank you Cathy! Can't wait to try the prime rib that I've heard is excellent. As a disclaimer, I am not related to the owner nor have I ever spoken to her outside of the restaurant. Lol They just deserve a great review.
