El Porton Restaurant

Quite the hopping place and well worth the wait. The food was amazing and the service was just as fantastic. Will definitely go back the next time we are in town.

Good food but it's what i consider white people Mexican food. Better than most places like this though. Great wait staff

Our party of two arrived at 5:30pm on Friday evening. There were two couple in line ahead of us. We were seated in a comfortable booth within 10 minutes. The conversation volume in the restaurant was so loud we could not hear each other. We received menus and water immediately. Our drink and food order was taken promptly but our drinks didn’t arrive for at least twenty minutes. Our food arrived about thirty minutes later. It was delicious. During at least half of our meal their were acquaintances standing in the walkway visiting with the family in the booth next to us. The servers were struggling and it was a safety risk that should have been addressed. I’m happy the restaurant is thriving but I won’t go back for dinner on the weekend. The environment was miserable.

We were shown to our table immediately. We were served water, chips, and salsa by the time we sat in our seats ( and they weren't just ready on the table, the chips were hot and my daughter had a child cup). They were constantly going above and beyond typical service. They accommodated my daughter's multiple food allergies. They even came back to ask questions and ensure her food was safe. And the food was all delicious! They did an awesome job!

Update: Two years later and we are still as impressed as we were the first time we ate here. We LOVE El Porton!
