I make pretty good smoked brisket...but Porters usually has me beat....so good! Oh, and the Jalapeno poppers!!! If you can get them, do it.
Let me start off by saying I have always lived and grew up in the South. Only an hour from Memphis which is known for it’s BBQ. Even this place knows it because it’s on the map on the inside of the place. I ate here today. Had the brisket loaded baked potato. Also got a side of the Gouda Mac and cheese. I will say I was skeptical and I told the girl preparing my “tater” so. Yes I call them taters and so does everyone else where I’m from. I wasn’t disappointed with any of it. For West Coast BBQ which I have ate all over now from the top here in WA to the bottom of Southern Cal this one tops them all on the West Coast for sure. If I’m ever in the area again I will not hesitate to return. Only drawback was I wish they would have gave more than one container of the crema, but that’s partly on me because I didn’t check. I’m sure they would’ve if I had of asked.
I got to go sit outdoors and eat my potato buried in brisket, cheese sauce, sour cream, green onion, and bacon. It is two meals worth, so an amazing value at $13. It's my go-to.
My sister and brother-in-law enjoyed their first ever Porter's meal. They shared a brisket sandwich and mac and cheese (my teenagers' favorite).
Super yummy.
When I come back, I will get only a Brisket sandwich, I got the Jonnys sandwich and the Brisket blew it out of the water on how good it was. I will come back in a heartbeat but it's just expensive, and when I return it's a treat so injoy it slowly. But overall fantastic!
