Pillar Rock Grill

An invite and an impromptu lunch at pillar Rock with the dear friend of mine, led to a great memory. She had a steak and salad and vodka gimlet. Superb as I got to have a little taste. The steak was cooked perfectly rare which is hard to do in some places. The salad was fine quality, delicious and beautiful to look at. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos. They were pretty good. Lastly the best part was the service and the cleanliness and the beauty of the restaurant. It's a luxury item to go out anymore no matter what. But that was definitely a great experience

To start off with our beer mugs were very frosty. So our beer was wonderful. Then we had the Bruschetta appetizer. That was the bomb. My GF had the Steak Frito. Well that was really bad. The meat was not tender and very chewed. Plus there was not much meat but cartilage. Needless to say that dinner was not finished. My dinner on the other hand was delicious. I had the Southern Strip, it was tender and moist. Sorry GF! Our desert was alright. Cheese cake seemed a bit old. As well as the ice cream on mine.

Back in 2010-11 I spent 7 months in Moses Lake and this was a place we dined at many times. The food was always spectacular but it's sadly no longer the same. The menu is very limited and simplistic, almost like a bar menu. I opted for the special which was filet mignon with coconut shrimp. The steak was not very flavorful even with the bacon wrapped around it. On a brighter note, the beer is nice and cold and wine selection was nice too. This was the second time I've gone back there since 2011 and it's been disappointing both times. If I just want a cold beer with a golf course view I might go back but not for a meal.

Very nice venue for a memorial service. Friendly staff. Tables were decorated well. Beautiful surroundings outdoors.
