My favorite local place! Love to stop in on Wed. Items for great food, friends and music!
It's a funky place... rooms are nice enough... The place is an d industrial building-- rather than embrace that, they tried to cover it up. It just seems kind of odd. It's the food, though that gets 3 stars. Heavy and uninteresting. We won't go back. Others may like it.
We ATE at the Old Alcohol Plant -- besides their eclectic rooms for nightly rent, they have an amazing fare of food at their restaurant. Beautiful food, tastefully garnished with herbs and flowers from their garden. The outdoor tables have beautiful views of the harbor and large yard and edible garden.
Wow, what a special place. The staff are lovely folks, most of the rooms have a view, and the restaurant is amazing. They have multiple gardens out back that supply a good portion of their veggies and salads. It was like having a salad from Grandma's garden! Their wine selection is solid. They actually had a delicious Viognier by the glass. Salmon was cooked perfectly. From all the pics I added, it's obvious we'll be back!
Such a rare find! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars! There are many Victorian hotels in Port Townsend- charming for sure - but they don't have elevators and we preferred not to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. Port Hadlock is just a short drive to Port Townsend. The Old Alcohol Plant is situated on a picturesque harbor. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. Their restaurant, Spirits, was our favorite of the entire trip. The food was superb and vegetables and fruits come from their own beautiful garden. Picturesque, charming, clean, comfortable! And they are socially conscious - providing jobs to help the homeless transition to being independent! Beautiful art galleries too - featuring the works of Ansel Adams, whose grandfather once owned this property. Don't miss it!
