Not authentic Taiwanese food, as the name of the place suggests. Especially when you can easily find very authentic Taiwanese restaurants around here in just a stone throw away. That creates the expectation that if they’re not extremely authentic, at least have some niche specialty to live up to its competition- they’re not super tasty either. Granted, 2 stars will be too cruel since they are pretty cheap and does the job to get you full, so from a cost benefit standpoint I’d say they’re acceptable. But I would rather go to other places nearby if I have a craving for Taiwanese food though.
We were looking to try out a new Taiwanese restaurant so we came here. There's a shared parking lot so parking was easy. The restaurant itself was small inside. We were seated at one of the booth.
There was only one guy who was greeting customers, taking orders, delivering food, refilling water, and cleaning up the dirty dishes. I must say that he did an amazing job, really stepped up his game to get everything done immediately. Unfortunately the food were just all bland. We ordered Taiwanese Pork Belly Bun, Ground Pork Taiwan-Style Noodle, and I believe the Salt & Pepper Fish Fillets. The pork bun was bland, all fatty and didn't seem to be fresh. The fish fillets were also flat, so I added the pepper or the onion with each bite that I took. The ground pork noodle was also bland of course, but I love noodles so it was the only dish that I could enjoy - after adding a little bit of soy sauce.
Seems like they just had a change of ownership recently and it was good to try this place. But until they improve the flavor and quality of their food, I don't think we'll be back here.
Friendly staff but somehow heavy taste
Food was verrrrrry tasty! I ordered their famous three-cup chicken and three cup squid. I really like both of them, especially with rice and the sauce. The owner was very nice and easy-going. Service was good!
Pretty decent food, chill vibes and small space. We went around 11-12pm on a Sunday and we managed to be the lunch rush. Love that they have a lot of photos of the food on the menu!
