The Black Duck Cask and Bottle

My favorite go-to local place, great food, great tap selection, great owner. We’ll usually head there to grab a drink and feast on the appetizers. But you can’t go wrong with the any of the burgers or the black duck pie. Even the grilled romaine caesar salad is solid.

And BTW, it’s 21+, which is a good thing (I’ve made the mistake to try to bring along the kiddos in the past ☺️).

This is one of my favorite date-night restaurants. We usually share a drink, an appetizer, a pizza (the "Fun Guy" mushroom pizza was my favorite, so I hope they bring it back soon), and a warm cookie dessert. I recommend going on a weeknight, so it's not so busy!

The Black Duck is the perfect place to come for a bite and a sip. Just about everything on the menu is delicious, and the selection of brews is absolutely fantastic. I am especially fond of the grilled romaine and the cubano sandwich, which are both super filling. The pizzas always have a crisp crust and just the right amount of topping. I always find myself leaving just full enough to be totally satisfied, with a tiny bag of leftovers to tempt me the next day.

Wow! The burger was amazing! The selection of beers is very good too. This is my first time and now I see why it’s so popular. Nothing to look at inside but seems pretty clean. It gets packed fast too but it was also a Friday night.

They have GREAT food. Their tap list is expansive, and rotates frequently. The staff is nice, and responsive.

Unfortunately the last time I was in - while I had great food - it was crazy loud, to the point where we couldn't hear each other talking, and one of the beers I ordered was warm, and the other was flat.

The staff made it right immediately, but the noise was a mitigating factor for me.

I'd consider going back if it wasn't a busy time, or the outdoor seating was open, otherwise it's unfortunately a no-go for us.
