This place is a good place to grab a quick bite before games, or if you have an itch for some mexican food. We sat in the bar area and was greeted with quick service. Drinks are made well with a heavy hand. We went before a hockey game and returned after the game was over. Food was good and kitchen was quick with pushing orders out.
They always start you out with freshly made warm tortilla chips and salsa! I like to come here sometimes when its movie night! Good drinks and really good food. I have yet to have a complaint about anything. When it starts to get warmer they open the big side windows to allow the warm breeze to roll through. They also have outside seating!
But I was there I found it to be a very quiet place. And once I ventured to the back I found a bar with an awesome bartender. It's a good place to go chill and eat. Especially if you're waiting for the movie. The staff is friendly. And the people are great. This place gives Kent Washington a good name.
I've often frequent this restaurant after I get out of work. Normally when I stop in it's just to have a few drink and socialize with the bartenders. The price of the beer is reasonable depending on the brand and there are drink specials throughout the week. My only complaint is that it seems like there are no beer specials which is a bit disappointing. I've ordered food here once getting the grilled chicken torta which ran around $15. The food came out pretty fast considering the number of people that were in the restaurant. The portion sizes were generous but not too large. The chicken was tender but it seemed a little on the bland side. At the very least I would recommend trying the food here and making your own determination.
The place looks like the suburban American restaurant (a ton of ornaments and random stuff on the walls, no Mexican restaurant has this), but where environment lacks, the kitchen sure makes up for it. The food is superb, the meals are well thought out, the mix of ingredients are attuned properly to achieve a home taste at a mass level, the service is as good as any place can be and the prices are at a moderate level. Do recommend and will visit again if the opportunity comes...
