I went the first week they opened a couple of months ago and they were out of most of the things on the menu. I decided to give them another try and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in 40 minutes before closing and they still had everything available on the menu. The service was great and the food was great. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because it's a little pricey for soul food. Additionally they don't have the southern desserts that I would hope for.

Just had dinner from Nana's and it was great. I had greens, pork chops and sweet potatoes. Yum! My husband had catfish, cabbage and sweet potatoes. We wanted the potato salad and Mac and cheese, but our stomachs can't handle it. Everything was perfect! We're still talking about it! Forgot the cornbread!
    Can't wait to go back!

Had heard from many people how amazing the food was here. My husband and I decided to try it for dinner last night. Definitely loved the atmosphere and how friendly the staff was. The establishment was clean and so professional. When Todd the owner came over to greet us and tell us his story and the history of the restaurant it was wonderful! The food was delicious!! All homemade! He even gave us a small potato salad to go, just so we could taste it. It was delicious. We ordered chicken wing dinners with collards, and Mac -n- cheese, and cabbage. The chicken was fresh, and bones were nice and clear. Only thing I would change is it needed more time in the fryer. When the wings are that big, you have to make sure they are done. The chicken did not pull apart easily. The joints were still stiff. I had to pop it my oven when I got home. Other then that I would definitely highly recommend them and I can’t wait to taste the desserts!!

We came here for lunch based off a Yelp ad, the reviews and pictures looked amazing. We were not disappointed. I have never had collared greens before, and loved them. The chicken is moist and flavorful, everything we ordered was delicious! We will definitely be back, gotta try the catfish!

Lived up to the great reviews. You can taste the love put into the food. Everything was well seasoned. I can't pick a favorite, everything was delicious. This is the most authentic soul food I have had between Seattle and Tacoma! Very nice that the family took the time to chat and tell us about the inspiration for the restaurant. Love, love, love!
