This is a small restaurant and owner handles everything.
If you are looking for Russian version of comfort food, this is one of the restaurants you can find. This restaurant sells pelmeni (although menu says "dumplings"). They are tiny dumplings filled with meat, potato or / cheese.
They are delicious and seasoned well. They are bite-sized morsels. You don't normally find this kind of food in many cities in US but I am pleasantly surprised by how authentic and delicious they are. They are just like home-cooked ones (nothing like machine made restaurant style).
They also sell "Piroshki" which is one of my favorite Russian comfort food. Sadly they are not great (should have baked better - need to be more dark brown colored buns).
Here are information:
Parking: It is located in a small mall and plenty of parking space
Food: Delicious and full of flavor (only talking about their pelmeni)
Service: Attentive and friendly
Ambiance: Fast food joint-like and there is NO dining tables nor chairs (except two chairs)
Suggestion: They are nothing like Asian dumplings (looks similar) but pelmeni is a well-known Russian comfort food and it has a great taste. You should try once!
The food is fantastic. The staff could be a little more charismatic, but they provide prompt and effective service while delivering an excellent product.
Their dumplings were the best I've found anywhere nearby. I got the sweet and spicy dumplings with a potato and cheese Piroshki. The Piroshki OMG. It was so flaky and wonderful. Definitely recommend this little place.
First time ever trying Russian Dumplings. They're so good! Highly recommend this place! I tried the 18 piece pork classic. I'll absolutely be back.
Stopped by to try Russian dumplings. Had Alaskan and Classic. They do taste very good, home made taste indeed. But the 12-dumplings portion is pretty small, the kind of "I finished everything and still feel hungry". Slightly disappointing for $12... :( Makes you get that piece of cake they have - delicious by the way - and one of the pirozhkis to get full. Overall impression: good but not gonna be my regular spot.
