Really cool place. Great service. Sides we tried really great. If I could give this place one recommendation it would be to lose the Five Spice or Star Anise they are using in their BBQ sauce. When you look at their menu their clearly got a a southern BBQ vibe. The five spice/star anise seems outta place.
If I could give them 6 stars, I would! My wife and I recently visited on a "recon" mission as we were looking for someone to cater an upcoming event. Brileys was recommended to us by a trusted friend. We took our daughter who isn't a big fan of BBQ in the first place. Everyone loved everything! We had the pulled pork and chopped brisket, in my opinion the pork was superior. I thought the brisket was good, but my wife thought it was great. The mac-n-cheese is best I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The coleslaw and corn bread were both very, very good. Oh, and the BBQ sauces were incredible.
When we inquired about catering, the staff was super helpful at the store. We decided to book them for our event, and their execution and deliver was top notch. Lisa and a co-worker delivered the food, set everything up exactly like it should be. Several people from our event asked us afterwards where the BBQ was from. I would definitely recommend this place--you will not be disappointed.
First visit to Brileys and I was impressed. Small restaurant with a great view of Lake Washington. I ordered a beef brisket and a pulled pork sandwich. They have a great assortment of sides. I really like their cornbread and the chili. They have three sauces mild, sweet and spicy. I thought the pork sandwich didn't have as much flavor as the beef brisket and the mild barbecue was aptly named as mild. Those two reasons are why they didn't get a 5 star rating from me. The rest of the menu looked good. My daughter loved the spicy chicken wings.
WOW, we hadn't stopped by in a while (because this place, in the past, was just so-so), but when we did, we were pleasantly surprised! This place has really changed --for the better. It was good to begin with, but now I would say it's great. The food is top-notch BBQ, with an excellent selection of offerings, from mild to spicy. From catfish to brisket, everything was delicious, even the fries. They enclosed the previously tent-like outdoor seating area, making it an indoor/outdoor area (or just an indoor area in the cold winters) and the garage doors are fabulous; we can't wait to come back in the summer. Although there's handicapped parking here, this place was challenging to get around because it's small quarters and crowded ... I personally wouldn't try it in a wheelchair. It was chanting with a cane, that but everyone was friendly and considerate. Dining is casual: You order and then seat yourself, and they bring the food out to you. It's not dog-friendly, but more like an enclosed restaurant. We'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. ????
We love Brileys! All of their barbecue is fantastic as are the sides. We have never had a bad meal there and we have been there many, many times. The cornbread is particularly delicious! Also, their customer service is excellent and everyone is always super friendly and very helpful. They have a really nice outdoor area for eating when the weather is warm.
