Staff is friendly! The drinks are delicious and I will definitely go back!
My dumplings were slightly undercooked but I'm sure it was a fluke. The chicken dumplings had good flavor, staff is friendly and they give a generous amount of chilli oil and dumpling sauce. Pretty good place overall.
Had the beef, broccoli & rice bowl and it was great. Just perfect.
Happy to have good Chinese food so close (had to drive to the International District or Shoreline to get my fix). Ordered the pork rice bowl and chicken dumplings - both dishes were good. The pork meat was fork tender, the sauce mild (usually too sweet or too salty in some restaurants), the broccoli beautifully steamed. The chicken dumplings were flavorful.
I love that their menu is limited and it looks like each item is freshly made and good quality. There's a bit of a wait which is typical for food like this. This is now a new favorite. Highly recommend to everyone to try it!
I’m really glad they opened a Dumpling Generation in the Lake Forest Park Town Center. I haven’t been to the original location in Edmonds, but was told by the friendly and peppy cashier that the Edmonds location has a much bigger selection. The selection is somewhat limited, but it’s probably about the right amount for a food court. They offer the chicken dumplings as well as rice bowls and bubble tea. I ended up splitting the chicken dumplings and the beef rice bowl. The beef rice bowl was pretty good – the stewed beef had a good Chinese braised spiced beef flavor. I was a bit disappointed they used short grain rice though and would prefer jasmine rice. The dumplings were the highlight and it makes sense the place has dumpling in the name. The filling had a lot of chicken flavor with slight sweetness and the dumpling wrapper was cooked perfectly. My main constructive comment would be to serve the food on a different type of compostable container or maybe melamine plates. The issue was that the dumpling wrappers and the rice would stick to the containers and when taking the food off there sometimes was paper residue on the food. With all that being said I would definitely return because with all due respect to the other vendors, Dumpling Generation is the most interesting vendor in the food court.
