I love the Kiss Cafe! I live nearby and find myself here for a bowl of jumbolaya more than I'd like to admit. I haven't had a meal I didn't like - the prices are right and the atmosphere is charming. The only thing that's ever been an issue is the free pickles they give you. Sometimes they remember, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they give it to you for free (like bread at an Italian restaurant), sometimes they charge you $3. Haven't figured out the trick for that yet. I still give it 5 stars because the pickles are so good I'll pay $3 for them!
EDIT: I asked, and the pickles are free if you order a sandwich! Otherwise you're charged the $3 ☺️
Amazing sandwiches! Great environment. Someone proposed next to me while I was eating. Amazing! Go get the Dagwood
Free app is a jar of pickles! We were surprised and delighted, first by our scrumptious pickle chunks, then by everything that followed. The fresh fruit side is definitely worth getting. Nice, casual and friendly atmosphere with regular customers. Dog friendly! Clean bathroom! We stopped here after visiting Ballard Locks and would again!
Love it, love it, love it. Everything I've ordered here has been fantastic. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. I come here when I meet a friend in Ballard and always have a great time eating and hanging out here. Fabulous selection of beers as well if you drink.
These sandwiches are hearty, tasty, and filling. Quaint little sandwich shop located near the locks in Ballard. If you’re down in the area and looking for a tasty sandwich, this is the way to go. They can be overly busy sometimes, but even a few minute wait is worth it. Tasty food. Beers on tap. What more can you ask for?
