Fonda La Catrina

I had been told by many that Fonda La Catrina is a great Mexican restaurant but only recently found out for myself. I visited after the main lunch rush on a Wednesday. The décor is kind of punky and grungy which is a good choice I would say for their aesthetic. I went with the mole enchiladas and couldn’t be happier with the choice. The enchiladas were tasty and the tortillas were likely freshly made. The highlight was definitely the mole. It was multi-dimensional with so many different flavors coming to the fore. It’s one of the best moles I’ve had before. I really enjoyed the meal and hope to return.

My family have been going to Fonda for years now. It's definitely good still, but not the same as it once was. The staff are decently friendly, the food tastes fresh and is delicious. We have just found that through the years the quality has decreased a bit, and there's just not as much attention to detail. We'll continue to go though!

Great find, had breakfast but definitely want to return and try more items. Very nice staff. Fun to sit at counter and watch the action in the kitchen. Fresh made tortillas!

Happy to have found a good Mexican restaurant near our home. I’ve tried many places and haven’t really had the best experience on most of them. Their sizes are to die for. Service is pretty fast. They have a outdoor seating area that’s heated and a pretty big dining area. Horchata was great too. Definitely will be back soon.

A lovely Mexican restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Phenomenal food, and very busy most of the time. Two of my companies have ended up being their "nearby neighbors", and so my staff and colleagues frequent here often. Their wait staff is very knowledgeable and do ask the bartender for drinks recommendations. They know their stuff. I would also wager that they have one of the nicest horchata in Seattle.
