The food and wine were delicious. The attentive service and suggestions for our meal were spot on. We were not rushed and so ended up being the last in the restaurant! I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
"Kinda bland" is what I thought walking away from this restaurant. My family and I got the squab (pigeon), pea shoots, lamb with spring onion, and eel clay pot rice. The highlight was the pigeon - it was meaty with reasonably crispy skin. The remaining items were tasteless and low on salt (good for those sensitive to salt I guess?) The lamb had little lamb flavor, the eel clay pot rice was rich in eel but packed any kind of flavor, and the pea shoots were missing it's signature garlic sauce. Not to mention that the pea shoots were on the mature side, and weren't tender.
Not the best service.... Very slow
Solid dim sum place that is a bit out of the way, but we enjoyed the food. Service was quite good for our visit. We could ask any of the server and got what we needed quickly. More friendly servers than some other Chinese/Cantonese restaurants around.
I agree with some other customers that the portions are quite generous comparing to other dim sum places I have been to. I’d recommend having at least 4 in your party to get better experience (I.e. sampling more different dishes before you fill up :-P).
My current favorite place for dim sum. Black sesame balls! Even better: watch what other tables order off the menu, and ask to have what they're having. SO GOOD.
