India Bistro

They left the rice out of my to go order and the food is too expensive for what you get. I order pick up from this restaurant by mistake when I mixed up the name with a more reliable restaurant. I used to order from the Ballard location when I lived in the area. I had 3 separate occasions where something was left out of my to go order but the quality of the food was good and I lived close enough that going back was easy so I continued to order there. This was until I had a very unpleasant experience when I walked into the restaurant (through their unlocked door during their hours of operation that were posted on the sandwich board they had out on the sidewalk) one day a while back. There were staff sleeping on their benches and then someone came from the back and yelled at me that they were closed. I was really off-put and decided to never order there again. Fast forward to yesterday when I accidentally ordered from the Roosevelt location and lo and behold they did not include the basmati rice that was supposed to come with both entrees that I ordered. Also the portions were smaller and more expensive than any other indian restaurant I've been to in Seattle. I live far enough that it was just not worth it to go back. Needless to say I will never order from this location again either.

Everyone at our table was very satisfied. Nothing but pleasant experiences here. Bring your appetite because portions are large. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I loved.

I have learned to wait to review, and I have had visited this place maybe 7-8 times or more. And this is my favorite Indian place in Seattle, big reason why is consistency , the food is always amazing, just great. and the food just leaves a clean taste, just a great product! favorite is the aloo mattar, could eat here everyday, they have a lunch buffet by i usually order out, they also take really good care of take out with cut out cardboard

had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again.
