Delicious food. Excellent service. Surprised to learn this is the only authentic Indonesian restaurant in Washington State. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends and come again next time I’m in the Seattle area.
The beef rendang was delicious but my fried chicken sort of tasted like fish sauce even when I put the spicy sauce they gave for it; the fish sauce was overpowering it. We paid an extra $3 each to upgrade to yellow rice and coconut rice but there was nothing special about them. Fried spring rolls were fresh and crunchy but without the sauce, it was bland. We ate at other Indonesian places and were delighted at the variety of flavors but not with this one.
Go here for the best experience with indonesian food. Their food is so delicious it is a crime. The chicken satay is a must try. I literally come here every time I go to Seattle. Last time I went here for lunch and dinner before going back to Vancouver There's no other better restaurant than this place. I would literally drive here just to eat and and go back home to Vancouver because it's worth the drive tenfold.
I'll just first state that I'm an Indonesian ???????? and I think they have good foods. Of course, to compare with my mother's cooking will not be fair.
Indonesian cuisine is so complex and diverse that with the limited available ingredients/spices in US, somehow they are able to offer tasty dishes from different regions in Indonesia.
Their portions and prices are decent.
If you have visited Indonesia before, you'll notice that people don't actually eat gigantic portions, which is good for your waistline.
You may not find the most obscure dishes, but what they offer will give you a pretty good preview of popular Indonesian foods.
They have specials periodically, which is nice for regular customers.
Service is always good and attentive.
They can easily accommodate a big party in their special rooms.
Come with a big group and try different things, you'll have lots of fun and go home with full stomach.
Indo café is a really nice little place that has really tasty food from Indonesia that you will not find into many other places. You can’t really compare it to other Asian food places in my opinion because the spices and the way they cook the food in the individually unique dishes are hard to describe.
Yes there Are rice and noodles dishes and curry dishes but then there are these spicy little hard boiled eggs and really good crunchy crackers and really spicy stuff.
The spicy dishes with the coconut rice are really good and you will not leave here feeling hungry that is for sure! Highly recommended.
