Good prices, good quality of ingredients, dim sum tastes really good, and free parking inside the garage. Very convenient especially since the other nearby dim sum places only have street parking available.
My favorite place in the ID for dim sum. Similar quality to the more-famous Jade Garden (some things are a bit better, some are a bit worse). But *much better* seating capacity. Huge dining areas (plural) means there's almost never a wait and there's free on-site parking!
Update: After enjoying many dim sum meals, we went for dinner and enjoyed it, although we both agree we prefer dim sum. We had:
1) Broccoli with garlic sauce (good- flavorful and good texture)
2) Combination egg foo young (very good- nicely crisp, flavorful, and good sauce)
3) Egg swirl soup w/ beef (decent, but a bit bland. Adding soy sauce and chili oil helped)
4) Pan-fried pork with XO sauce (very good flavor with nice veggies, but it was actually fatty pork belly- would ask for lean pork or maybe chicken next time.)
Quality has improved.
After avoiding this place for years we decided to give it another try. It has much improved since our last experience. Quality is good enough (I think there may be slightly better ones yet), but given the convenience of parking and the speed of service, I’d recommend it.
Was a bit skeptical of other reviews that said this is the best dim sum in Seattle when we have mainstays like Harbor City and Jade Garden right down the street, but I'm thoroughly impressed!
They nailed it - the freshness, the savory, the sweets - but most of all the ambiance! What is a dim sum place without aunties pushing carts around demanding you to clear out their carts?
As a newer establishment, it's actually well lit and not overcrowded with tables. I highly recommend giving this place a shot, even if you have your long time favorite dim sum already in Seattle.
It even have plenty of free parking! Free Parking! In Seattle!
Absolutely the best Hong Kong style dim sum in Seattle. A lot of people on the West Coast make the assumption that dim sum in Seattle has to be amazing across the board, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Quality dim sum chefs will either go to San Francisco or Vancouver, completely bypassing us. This place is the exception. I love Harbor City, but this restaurant is a little better on overall flavor. The Bean curd rolls are some of the best I've ever had, and the staff is excellent, and the owner is such a positive and attentive front of the house manager. I sure hope the chef stays! I love the chili oil. Keep up the great work.
