My aunt and I were visiting the Arboretum, and couldn't decide what we wanted for lunch. I finally said soup, which to me has become synonymous with korean cuisine ❤️ My aunt likes bibimbap, so we checked out nearby options. I'm SO glad we stumbled across Kimchi Bistro! It's a little tough to get a parking spot, but worth it. The bistro is tucked back in a pseudo-alley off Broadway. It's a cozy little spot with maybe 5-7 tables...? When we visited, there was a single person taking orders and doing the cooking. She was a fantastic cook! Wow. The doenjang jjigae was delicious, and hit the spot for the chilly day. My aunt said her bibimbap was different than what she'd had before elsewhere, but no less delicious. The name of the little restaurant is fitting; their kimchi was some of the best I've had, no joke! What I liked most about Kimchi Bistro, though, was the peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the city!
Good korean food but I’ve definitely had better. I did really want to like this place because of it’s central cap hill location and good menu, but the side dishes did not seem super fresh and the tofu soup was good but nothing amazing. Overall would say it is a good place to eat with reasonable prices and nice staff who take ur temperature before you sit down due to covid, but I wont be making this a regular spot.
korean food and service at this spot is excellent. The service was friendly and sociable.
A favorite location for delicious korean food. One of the best spots in the area. The staff was friendly and observant. The prices are good for what you get. This place has positive reviews for a reason.
Small place but good traditional korean food, not the hip fusion modern type. Their dolsot bibimbap is my favourite dish! I also appreciate that the workers there are Korean.
