Great layout. Reserve HQ. Love the indoor fireplace. Went by during evening hours and staff were busy completing tasks and less focused on customer service (minus 1 star). Was never greeted once when walking around all the bars. Limited bakery items but was able to try a delicious croissant style cinnamon roll!
Starbucks owned extended food line Princi Kitchen! If you call reserve store an experience and this should be second in your list.
Chef of this one of kind Italian food place is very particular, he ensures offered options remains authentic hence most of the ingredients are exported from Italy ( I have tons of friends who work in Starbucks corporate office upstairs!) hence food is great and authentic!
Cocktails are handcrafted and designed to pair up with food and have a lot of reflection on coffee.
The bicerin coffee with pistachio cream was yummy! Layer of chocolate topped by an espresso shot, topped by a not-too-sweet pistachio foam. The pizzas are also good ; they cut up a large slice into smaller pieces so that it is easier to share. Tried the chocolate cake with caramelized hazelnuts which was yumm! The pain au chocolat and croissant is o.k. those you can get better elsewhere.
Overall, this place has a nice relaxed ambiance, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking and is not as chaotic as the Capitol Hill Reserve location. The prices do seem on the higher side for some of the food items at first glance, but on the plus side, there is no tipping (no option while paying or no tip jars kept on the countertop).
Excellent coffee and food, very cosy and comfortable environment
