Excellent food but pricey. We have been coming here for years and it has been sad to see the prices increase rapidly. While the food quality is still excellent, the increased prices have forced this to become a nice date only spot rather than a random night out spot.
The simple pasta dishes are packed with flavor.
Good/great food. All.four dishes we tried were well done: smoked fish on toast, crab salad, a pasta with sausage and muscles, and the chicken. The chicken had a perfectly done skin, the crab salad was super refreshing, etc.
Small-ish plates. Each plate is a little too large to really be considered "Tapas" but too small for that to be your only item. Most parties of two would likely want three dishes.
Our four plates and drinks ended up costing around $120 after tax+tip. So not cheap. Dinner took around an hour and a half despite my parties general tendency to be quick. They definitely tend a bit toward "snooty" as well. I did not feel welcomed despite the reservation.
Also: bring a flashlight to read the menu. They really really believe in "ambiance" to the detriment of ergonomics. Multiple people used phone flashlights while we were there.
Been here twice and the pasta was consistently good. Good service. I would recommend the roasted beet salad. The spaghetti with anchovy and the risotto with mushroom as appetizer were both flavourful, but they were on the salty side for me. I would recommend happy hour here.
We came for Restaurant Week and were so glad we did! We made a reservation, and our table was ready immediately upon arrival. The food tasted great, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
The appetizers came in quick succession, and the main course and dessert were more spread out. We were very pleased with our experience here.
Lastly - the warm olives are a MUST HAVE! So good.
A reservation is a must. Even though the dining room and bar were packed, we never felt rushed. Warm olives, smoked fish starter, two pastas and flat steak. All were really good. We were too full for dessert. Small but nice beer selection, cocktail was good and their recommendation of wine was spot on.
