A now iconic part of the Georgetown Seattle scene, Smarty Pants is a collision of motorcycle memorabilia museum, tavern, and the home of great comfort food. It symbolizes the tops that a tavern can be along with an irresistibly informal atmosphere. Not quite the history of the fabled Jules Mayes, but working on it. You must try the Frito Pie - a repast of fresh house-made chili, sour cream, green onions and, of course Fritos. And in just the right portion and proportion. A must stop in the process of enjoying the sovereign state of Georgetown.
Their sandwiches never disappoint! Love the French dip! The agu is amazing! And love the horseradish ????❤️
Great little shop, had a tasty pork sando and a local beer. The lady had a field roast dip that was excellent. Will definitely be back!
Loved this place, laid back with great drinks and food. I appreciate the vegetarian/vegan options. I had a delicious B.B.C. and Death in the Morning. My breakfast burrito was huge and delicious, and I loved that it had veggie sausage (Field Roast).
I have been to Smarty Pants many times and I have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly and although the service isn't the fastest, it was acceptable. I like the fact that they usually have at least 1 cider on tap because I am a cider fan.
The last visit I ordered the Troublemaker which is a grilled chicken sandwich that has a mildly spicy sauce. I like spicy food and I would rate it around 3.5 - 4 stars out of 10. For people not into spicy food it may be more like 6 - 7 stars. I like the combination of bacon, Monterey Jack, tomato, and chicken breast. I chose the potato salad for the side and it was average but nothing special.
I also had the chance to taste the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich and it was tasty as well. I haven't had a sandwich that I didn't like at Smarty Pants.
