Great place for a slightly more upscale casual dining experience. Food was good service was great. Much advised for lunch or bar experience.. this location has remained open at Northgate so don't let the malls transform scare you off.
The atmosphere is weighty and serene. The menu is pricey. I had the haddock special with risotto. A portion of the fish (about a quarter of the square piece) was tough and overcooked. The rest was perfectly flaky. The risotto was delicious. The $29.95 price did NOT include salad (or any side). My friend had the salmon special ($2 cheaper) and the portion was larger and accompanied by a large bed of rice and a generous scoop of green beans. This seems to be a place for a special occasion. Or for the well-to-do.
We had dinner here on a busy Saturday night. Service was awesome. Our server Will was very attentive. Food was on our table less than 10 minutes from our order! We had the fish and chips and chicken Parmesan with pesto pasta. All food was fresh, made from scratch and delicious! Restaurant was clean and beautiful inside. We will be back for sure.
Excellent visit. Party of 7 on a Saturday night. Sat right away . We all loved our food. Prime rib was a hit, fajitas were great, pasta and surf and turf items were loved. Cookie dessert and cheesecake were hits too. Will be back.
My wife and I attended Sanford's on New Year's Eve, we made reservations that same day and there was no problem and getting seated immediately when we got there. The food was outstanding service was good especially considering the number of people that were there, I don't think it took more than 20 minutes at the very most before they served us. Would definitely go back and have the prime rib again , cook to perfection. And as I recall the desert was equally good. You'll have to try it
