If you're looking for authentic Lao food then this restaurant is the place you're looking for! My favorite dishes are kapoon, beef laab with sticky rice, and the lao sausages. My family has been coming here for decades, and will definitely be back for more.
No gloppy peanut sauce here...fresh, authentic, delicious food...
Excellent service, awesome experience.
Will be back to try more dishes ????????????
Viengthong is a hidden gem! The food is authentic, delicious, and memorable. The Lao sausage is wonderfully spiced, the papaya salad fresh and flavorful, the laab very satisfying and as I remembered it from my SE Asia travels. The staff are warm and friendly. I do not live in Seattle but would make it a point to eat here when I am in town again. The official stamp approval is that my Laotian friend found the food to be outstanding as well. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and may look humble on the outside, but it belies the wonderful people and food that awaits you inside. Eat here! You won’t regret it.
This is the place to go for authentic traditional Lao food! We were visiting from Denver and craving spicy papaya salad. Along with the salad we ordered Lao sausage, pork laab, fish cake, and of course it must all be eaten with sticky rice. It hit the spot and tasted liked what my sister would make at home. She's a really good cook so that's a huge compliment to the cooks at Vieng Thong! We will definitely be back next time we're in town.
A must have - simple, tasty &fresh! The best fish I've ever experience at any Thai restaurant. Thank you for your commitment to excellence.
