We get the $7.98 white board special. 2 pieces of fish, chips, and clam chowder. The chowder is a meal in itself. It is an actual soup bowl with hearty chunks of potato, clams and bacon. The fish is cooked to perfection, and as always to many fries. The service always has been good and friendly and they don't appear to be in any hurry to rush you out the door. The resturant is anything but fancy. It is small, eclective and for me a bit cluttered. If you are looking for ambiance this is probably not for you. If you want reasonable, friendly, and good food, I recommend you give this a try.

I prefer to do reviews after I've been to a place more than once. Since I've technically been here more than once, I'm going to do a review.

The first time we came, we were in a time crunch and decided to run in here after stopping at the Petco nearby. When we walked in, there were several other diners at tables, but no one seemed to be eating. No one greeted us, but there is a bell at the counter that has a sign to ring for service. Someone came out after we rang the bell and told us to sit wherever we like, gave us menus and went back into the back room. We waited for another 10 minutes or so, and realized that no one else in the place had gotten any food and didn't know how long they were waiting, so we decided to leave because we had somewhere to be.

The second time, my son and I were about to embark on some Christmas shopping, so we were in no rush. This time, we were greeted immediately and told to sit where we like again, and got menus and some water. We quickly made up our minds when we saw the specials board and how great the prices were. It took about 15 minutes for the waiter to come back out and take our order, but it seems it's only the one guy who handles the dining area and take out orders, so it's fine. We ordered the chicken teryaki and lumpia special for my son and the 2 fish and 4 shrimp and chips plate for myself. The food took another 20 minutes or so to come out, but we soon discovered why.

Everything was made fresh to order and it made a huge difference. This is the best teryaki chicken I've ever tried. It was hard not stealing a bunch of bites from my son's plate. The rice is great, the chicken has the perfect amount of char and teryaki sauce and they give you a side of the sauce as well. The lumpia is delicious and comes out piping hot. The braised cabbage and veggies were a great addition to the plate and breaks up the monotony of most teryaki chicken plates that are usually just rice and chicken.

My fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly, both covered in a delicious beer batter. The fries weren't bad. They bring you a whole bottle of tartar sauce which I can appreciate. I was expecting much less here, especially after seeing how cheap, but I was totally pleasantly surprised. Is it the best fish and chips I've had? No, but is it awesome? Yes!

I plan on trying more of their traditional menu items now that we've had the basic stuff. I'll have to do some research before going back though, since they don't seem too helpful in explaining what some of the odder menu items are.

This is a total hole in the wall hidden gem, super affordable and very delicious! Go here and you won't be disappointed. Even if it's just for the basic fish and chips or teryaki. The only reason for the 4 stars is that you kind of have to wait around for stuff, but it's totally worth the wait, just don't come here if you're impatient or in a rush.

Love their fish and chips! If you are in a crunch for time but still want to have a quick date night, this place has great tasting fish and chips. We do weekly date nights and when we are short on time we run in here and it never disappoints.
