Hot Dogs At The Cove

Every once in a while I have such a great experience interacting with a business owner that it brightens my day and reaffirms my belief in the basic goodness of the wider swath of humanity. I had just such an experience today when I went to grab a hot dog before taking the Kingston Ferry. Both Rod and Jeannie were delightful. They show a genuine desire that each customer has a fantastic experience and that their food is perfect. This is a great place to get hot dogs, soup, and a wonderful hand-dipped ice cream bar. A must visit.

This is great place for a quick bite while waiting for the ferry. The hot dog was delicious and they had so many toppings to choose from. The owners were super friendly & would definitely come back.

Definitely MORE than I expected, in a good way. Super friendly owners, lots of toppings, even tossed in a “customer appreciation” bottled water (it was a very hot day). Super cool little spot, would definitely come back for a quick bite on trips into Kingston.

My first time to Kingston since I moved to Seattle. It was a great experience. I strolled by this place twice and noticed tons of people eating hotdogs. I stopped in and was greeted by a friendly older gentleman. He was extremely nice and sold me a fresh hot dog. Not like the wrinkly ones that have been sitting on the hot dog machine at 7/11 all day...

Reasonably priced, fresh toasted buns and lots of condiments to choose from. The condiment counter was also very clean for a busy weekend. I love the fried onions and fried jalapeno condiment.

The hot dog was great..I should've bought two....

If you are looking for a quick bite to eat while waiting for the ferry, this is ideal. Choose the kosher beef or the vegetarian. They have lots of condiment options and very friendly service. All at a very reasonable price. I love finding places like this.
