Went during brunch hours and was a bit busy. Our food came late but our server explained that my meal, the German pancake, came out on the more burned side and wasn't up to her standard. She brought the failed attempt, for me to eat in the mean time. Then brought the remade version and was very nice and friendly about it. Loved the waitress, will definitely come back in the future. Customer experience was superb and very friendly.
Service was impeccable and deserving of five stars. Emillie was an absolute joy despite her being busy. Sadly the inconsistent food brought this down a star. My mother and I both ordered the bacon avocado omelette and hers was wonderful while mine was sub par. Hers had a generous portion of avocado and the bacon and onion was well balanced. Mine had nearly no avocado and almost a half cup of nearly raw onion which was very off putting. They were busy and it was a holiday Monday so I am still recommending that you give this location a try as this could have been chalked up to the day.
Even though my party came in one hour before they closed, we were treated with courtesy and prompt service. I was thankful for that, since family was visiting. I highly reccomend their breakfast foods, wonderfully fluffy and not very greasy.
Elmer's was really busy today. Took a while to get seated. Our server, Peggy, was really nice, and had a great sense of humor. It took a while to get our food, but as I said, they were busy. When the food arrived, it was cooked as desired (I like my bacon just short of burnt) and still hot. Potato pancakes hit the spot. Well done Elmer's!
Love the staff; servers are very friendly and ready to address your needs and to take care of any complaints. I don't like the word "complaints" but sometimes the fries are not fresh cooked...not old...but sitting a while. Made to order, for the current order, is best...but, the cooks always make it right. Should be right the first time. Atmosphere is pleasant...according to the diner sort of atmosphere and admittedly a step above. Food is good overall...no restrictions on the time of day for what you want to eat...breakfast all day! Orders come out a bit slowly, but for good food that is okay. Don't care for the omelets...eggs cooked and cold ingredients added after...should incorporate ingredients while the egg is cooking! I was a breakfast cook for many years! Half melted cheese and uncooked onion, bell pepper and cold meat is not my idea of an omelet. The ingredients should be embedded in the egg...not wrapped in it. I will continue to be a customer, but be selective in my choices.
