Chill spot with tasty food and friendly service. The chef came out to ask how we liked our meal, which I always appreciate. He seemed to really care about the food. Always a good sign. The crispy chicken sandwich was delish. We added pickles, which I feel it should come with anyway and though I was skeptical about the inclusion of cheese, it really worked. Crisply and not greasy tots and fried - a plus! Definitely recommend!

Visiting the area and wanted good pub food. Asked the locals and they all recommended this place. They call it Marko's since it's the same place/menu as Marko's but the family friendly side next door is called The Hideaway. The wings were amazing, really crispy. The burgers were also really good, and they had great craft beer choices.

Unexpected Good Breakfast. Visiting Roslyn, I expected the normal breakfast menu. The Hideaway has a section "Something a little different" with chicken And waffles, breakfast poutine, and the Phat B, which doesn't say "sandwich" bit it's an excellent combination, crispy chicken fried steak, onions, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and a friend egg all between a grilled roll, with a big cup of sausage gravy for dipping.

I'm sure the sunny, brisk day, the old time atmosphere, friendly service, and the cook checking in to make sure everything was good contributed to the experience, but even without all that, the sandwich was outstanding.

Everyone in the restaurant appeared to be enjoying their meal as much as I was, and I'm looking at arranging my schedule to eat here again. If you're in town, it's worth a try.

We really like the "idea" of this cool little hideaway. So what do I mean by the idea? Well, the space is amazing with cool brick walls, pressed steel ceiling panels and wood floors, all appear to be original and start to create a cool and funky vibe. That is the best part of this place. The chairs don't match and while that is not a really big deal, the tacky chairs take away from the cool ones. They really need to funk up the place with some decor. I am not sure how long they have been open but they need to add some decor items to complete the vibe the space starts to create. We were there on a Sunday night It was slow and the service was too. In their defense it was Sunday night and there is not much business on Sunday nights. No one greeted us for a couple minutes. It was a bit weird. Again, a slow Sunday night. Beer selection was good, food selection was good, prices were good. Also, my wife noted it was a bit too cool to be comfortable. WE WILL GO BACK. WE LIKE IT A LOT. It just needs a few things to be amazing and it will be.

My husband and I tried the Hideaway a few days ago, and we loved it! The prices were really good and the food was awesome! I got the Philly cheese steak and it was cooked just right. My husband got the Haystack burger and it was pretty epic. We loved the hash browns on the burger! They also had really good coffee. We had a coupon, but before it was applied, our two meals and two coffees were only about $30.
