Service was great. Started with a handshake from our server. An exchange of Spanish to bring back memories of a restaurant in Tijuana Mexico many years ago. Warm thin crisp chips with a thin but tasty salsa. Large plates, rice was flavorful instead of bland. The chili rellano and beef enchilada were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. We ordered soapapillas for dessert. Expecting puffy tortillas with honey and cinnamon as is traditional, a platter arrived with the fried tortillas, honey, vanilla ice cream , whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. A feast for the eyes and for the sweet lover. Enough for a family to share, since it was just 2 of us. We took the remainder home. to enjoy the next evening. After visiting other Mexican restaurants in the area, Plaza Jalisco is definitely the best. Small building but has a great atmosphere.
Great customer service and great prices, especially for the amount of food you get. The building on outside may look rough, but inside is a warm inviting environment, with nice people.
So we thought this place was closed down. We came across it today and checked it was open. I checked the reviews and other people were right. This place needs a makeover big time! The staff was friendly and there was a lot of food. We ordered the deluxe sampler and two extra tacos that I didnt need to order. The two of us could have just had the sampler and then taken the rest of it home.
So wonderful! They took such great care of us. He even brought us a mini plate of sopapillas because I asked what they were saying they looked good. Super nice! Great food!
Delicious food. Great service. Reasonable Prices.
Salsa was mild to medium spicy with a slight but pleasant smoked flavor. Free combination on ones birthday with valid id. We were given chips and salsa before the meal and sopapillas afterwards. These sopapillas are like a fried tortilla cut in 6 pieces with a dollop of ice cream and whipped cream, then topped with honey and chocolate sauce. Delicious!
