Loose Kaboose Diner

Cute ☆FIVE STAR☆ (for a diner) quaint little seafood and sandwich shop. The owner, operator, cook, and waitress - Tasha, was delightful to visit with. The Combo Seafood Basket was fresh and delicious. We shared the Basket, and each had a cup of clam chowder, which was plenty. I wanted to try the Homemade Apple Blossom dessert, so we took one to go...it was so yummy warmed up in the microwave oven for just 30 seconds. Tender flakey crust with thin sliced apples and a dollop of caramel on top.
AND DON'T MISS THE TRAIN which rides around inside the diner!

Interesting little diner, more seating than it first appears. Staff was nice, especially when we asked for a replacement. My burger was excellent, but her crab cakes seemed a little undercooked. They were happy to exchange it for a 2 piece cod. We both thought the chowder was thin. However I would definitely go back.
The menu is fairly small, bring cash, you'll save yourself a bit over credit.

Cute atmosphere. Excellent fish and chips. Good service. Definitely worth the stop. We split the four piece halibut fish and chips and they gave us three pieces of fish each, that was a nice surprise. The coleslaw was better than the other I had in town. Bring your kids to see the train. I would visit here again for sure.

I had the halibut and clam chowder. It was delicious! The batter was perfect, light and crispy and the chowder was rich and creamy. Definitely worth the price. I will remember this place next time I'm in town.
