Alaska Weathervane Scallop Food Truck

The marsala sauce over rice pilaf was tasty and filling. The scallops were pan-seared perfectly and well-seasoned. Crispy edges, tender meat, and a hint of the sea.

I was worried the portion would be small, but was happy with what I got.

I've seen this food truck at a few festivals in Seattle and decided to finally give it a try at Gobble Up! It's a short menu list, but that's what makes it so great. They are focused on a few key items.

I ordered the Pan Seared Scallops with the Rice Pilaf and Mushroom Marsala Sauce for $14.00. The scallops alone were simply amazing. It was pan seared to perfection, succulent, fresh and delicious. The mushroom marsala sauce was generously poured all over the fresh and plump rice pilaf. The sauce was rice and filling. The portion doesn't look like a lot from the photo, but it is extremely hefty and worth the price. You can tell they take pride in their food as everything was made fresh and cooked to order.

The service was simply great. The cashie and the cook were very friendly and sincere. I hope to catch this food truck again!
