For $17 we got the two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket, Carolina and Memphis sauce, smoked broccolini, Cole slaw and Texas toast. Anthony was friendly, and clearly passionate about food, and it was generous enough to feed two.
Hands down best bbq since I spent a month in Alabama. This is brilliant food - the meats and sauces are traditional while the sides are a little innovative. Broccolini stands in for collards brilliantly, and a little green onion in the Cole slaw is a great accent in an impromptu Texas toast sandwich.
Absolutely would drive from Seattle for this - it knocks the socks off fancier places that charge as much for a sandwich. My husband loves Pecos pit but volunteered "this makes Pecos seem like Denny's."
Just eat here.
The food here is exceptional! The meats are expertly cooked on a wood-fired smoker. The sides are prepared with care and compliment the meats. Not bland like some food trucks. And the barbecue sauce has just the right combo of heat and sweet. I owned a restaurant for 20 years and tend to be very critical; I do not give five stars very often, but this one is well deserved.
Great food and people, brisket hash is awsome
This place is WONDERFUL! Love it!
I love the Spuds with brisket, oh my goodness so, so, so, yummy.
My sweeties gets the 1lb briskets and makes tacos with it.
Either way Dad's BQ is the best we have in Anacortes hands down.
