Mary Ann's Kitchen in Anacortes has some great Vegan dishes. On occasion I have ordered one and then asked if she could include three different types of meat in it. To her gracious credit she has generously complied. If you have not eaten there heretofore I can only recommend that you hasten to do so....
OMG! The blueberry pancakes were ALMOST as good as my Grandma's...and to me, that's high praise. This lady makes everything by herself and does a phenominal job! We enjoyed the staff, the atmosphere and, of course, the food. Oh, and the coffee was great and they kept it coming. My only complaint is they aren't open on Sunday because we really wanted to eat there again during this trip. Next time...
Excellent slow food breakfasts, kind and loving staff, our inked young waitress was attentive to the seating of our table right away.
Food smelled and looked great. Seemed popular with an older crowd. Reasonably priced. Recommended.
Great food, all made by Mary Ann so it is always consistent. Just do not go if you are in a rush and it is packed, it will be awhile since Mary Ann is the only one that cooks. Well worth the wait if you want a delicious meal. There are many of us that frequent weekly, and many locals daily. The buttermilk pancakes are the best I've ever had, and you can add blueberries to make it even better. The sandwiches are amazing as well, both cold and hot- she has an egg salad and bacon sandwich that I love. This is one of the 3 restaurants I will order eggs at, because I am so fussy about how they are cooked. Joe's scramble is great and the veggie hash is loaded with feta and mozzarella, definitely two meals in one. I have nothing but praise for her food. On your way out make sure to grab a cookie as well, they are to die for.
My wife and stopped after visiting the farmer’s market last Saturday. It felt like we were in a small home. The service was great, but the food was even better. We shared a Club sandwich and had a small salad. First, the salad was so fresh it seemed like it was picked from their garden right before they brought to our table and the vinaigrette dressing was equally as good. Secondly, the sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. The half sandwich was almost more than we could eat and it was delicious. Lastly, the tortilla chips were the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely eat here again.
