COA mexican eatery in Mount Vernon

The food here was so incredible. I had the taco plate and my husband had the burrito loco - which was the most gigantic burrito I have ever seen. My husband made two meals out of it, and he's a large guy with a big appetite. The meats were deliciously seasoned and tender and the chips were freshly pulled from the fryer. The service was great - all the employees were very friendly. Even though it's a long drive from my house, I will definitely come again and I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area or passing through.

Great from start to finish! Welcomed as we entered and let us choose a table. Server came immediately with menus and took our drink orders. Had our chips and mango salsa which were fresh, crisp and tasty. Dinner did not disappoint! Portions are generous (2 more lunches for me from a single entree)! Prices were fair for the amount of food presented. I will soon return.

This is a perfect restaurant. The location is convenient with easy parking. The seating is comfortable, not crowded yet still an intimate feel to the dining area. The menu is not overly long and complicated. The decor is done in good taste. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. The best part for me, is that there were many gluten free options and I could request dairy free as well. For someone allergic to beans, wheat, and dairy, finding a mexican restaurant can be challenge. Finding a good mexican restaurant is nearly impossible. At COA, I could get a complete meal and not feel like I was missing out on the best parts. The mole was wonderful and the chips are superb.

I'm from San Diego, and I LOVE Mexican food. So when my husband and I decided to get married in his homeland, WA state, I knew I had my work cut out for me finding delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, (like the kind I'm used to - let's be real, SD Mex is the best), to cater at an affordable price. After searching the internet, HIGH and LOW, I finally found COA. We flew to WA for a tasting and it was love at first taste. COA is perfection. Not only is the food amazing, but Viry and her staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The display was more beautiful and gourmet than I had even expected. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Everyone ranted and raved about how good the food was, and how they couldn't even believe it. We ordered the taco bar + appetizer bar + a tray of enchiladas, upgraded to the nice chafing dishes (highly recommend) and servers (also highly recommend). They delivered to our family's private farm way out in the country of Stanwood and they were timely, excited to be there, and incredibly kind and friendly. It was the best experience we could have hoped for, and we won't go anywhere else near Stanwood/Mt. Vernon for Mexican food ever again. If you're looking for an amazing caterer, or just an amazing, cozy meal at their restaurant, COA is the place. Thank you, COA!!!

This is an interesting place! In a quiet neighborhood how would you ever find out about it? Obviously it's a popular and well known spot because it was packed out on a Tuesday at noon. I can see why, the food is excellent. Not super fast service...but the quality is worth the wait. Staff is friendly and efficient. Go there, try it out, it's great!
