Skagit Valley's Farmhouse Restaurant

I've driven by more time than I can count....
Tonight we decided to make a special trip here for dinner..
The service was excellent our waiter was friendly ,fast and attentive.
My meal was meatloaf with hashbrown casserole with chicken noodle soup.
My girlfriends meal was country fried steak with baked potatoe and salad.
The food was delicious, served fresh and hot....coffee was good as well. While the desserts looked tempting, we had to pass...full bellies from our meals...

Service was excellent, though mostly due to the fact that the place was almost completely empty. Went with two friends, they ordered a cheeseburger and chicken fried steak, I ordered turkey pot pie and mozzarella sticks to share. Food came out so fast we only ate half of the mozzarella sticks. My friends said their food was decent, though they had better in the past. Turkey pot pie was so dry as to be inedible. I brought it to the server's attention and she brought me a container of gravy which made it at least palatable, though not great. Didn't eat a lot of it, it was better reheated at home with some hot sauce. Also ordered an old fashioned, which was pretty decent.

Overall, disappointing. There are other restaurants with much better food in that price range.

Best home style food in Skagit Valley. Local and fresh ingredients.
