Pretty new to Edmonds and I like it so far. The menu is tailored to the island and Carib spices so that is always fun. I don't see many restaurants that offer conch on their menu so we had to try it. It was a little too doughy but was not bad. Need to try out the rest of their menu, but friends in the area like the food.
This was my first time to Calypso and my wife has been there a couple of times. She has had great food and service each time. We are Edmonds residents. We sat at the bar and Michael did a fabulous job. He knew the menu very well and could explain each item in detail. He made my wife a great drink. We had some of the Jamaican jerk wings and they were delicious. We talked to several other people there that were regulars and got other good things to order next time. We saw several delicious dishes come out. I would highly recommend going there and we will be back again!
I only went in for a beer- had their Calypso IPA brewed by Salish Brewing. Amazing! I’ll definitely be back to check out the food menu and their other options. Service was friendly and awesome, which is as usual in Edmonds. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out!
Edit: I’ve probably been back here ten times now! The food is consistently incredible and so are the drinks. The scallops have been my favorite so far, but I’m still very slowly making my way through trying the other stuff. You guys are the best!
Went here last night. Very nice ambiance for a date night with good music and lighting. The food was amazing and good size. I do not like big plates and i was able to get a app and main course and felt full but not stuffed. They had a special veg red curry that was very good and the scallops where cooked perfectly. All the food was beautiful and the staff did a great job.
So either they've changed portion sizes or the person below who said portions weren't large is a sumo wrestler! Delicious (and abundant) food and excellent service. You must try the rum cake, even if you don't like rum. It's slightly crunchy outside and so soft inside. Yum.
