The Hook

What a treat to find this place. I'm giving them 4 stars because their garlic bread was tough to chew with hard dried cheese stuck to it and I did not taste the garlic. But the rest of their food was amazingly good . I'd say 4.5 stars. Real friendly waiter. Decent service and not too long of a wait for food at all. My seafood linguine was filled with generous portions of shrimp, salmon, muscles and scallops with a creamy garlicky Alfredo. I would definitely come back just for this. Considering that there are local stores who have daily delivery of fresh Italian bread and French bread, they should really serve something simple like that instead of garlic bread which needs proper timing to toast and to serve.

Just can't pass up a good seafood place, and The Hook is a solid catch! The place was packed, but we were seated promptly. Service staff is very friendly, water and drinks were out quickly. Decided to go with the Hook Platter, as you are always drawn to the item on the menu in the bold borders. Prawns, cod, salmon, halibut and Oysters all in panko breading, and all on one plate, is a winner! Served with cocktail and tarter sauces. Even brought the malt vinegar without having to ask for it. Definitely looking forward to the next visit.

Excellent service and meal, even on a busy Saturday evening. The Chicken with Artichokes was excellent, fork tender, perfectly cooked veggies and fine mashers. The lemon butter sauce was the cherry on top! Highly recommended,

The Friday night prime rib was delicious and everything on the Hooks Platter was fried to perfection, (especially the oysters)! Desserts were fantastic as well! Great service, very friendly staff! Highly recommend! No pictures because the food was so terrific!!!
