Attractive decor, comfortable atmosphere and simple, familiar menu. The food is expertly prepared, well portioned and served by pleasant, attentive wait staff. I highly recommend this establishment for breakfast or a cozy meeting place. The Vintage Cafe is a pleasant experience you are sure to enjoy.
Met with friends for a late Sunday morning breakfast. Arrived a bit before 11am and there were several parties ahead of us and had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a table of 4 to open up. One of my friends got curious and ordered some cordon blue bites and Calamari for the table. Both were excellent. The Calamari were nice big meaty strips and not rings like they are often served. Got a Denver omelet and the onions and peppers were slightly caramelized which I liked. Good coffee too. Food coming out of the kitchen was a little slow but the place was full and people were waiting at the door the whole time we were there.
Had lunch today with two others all three ordered different items. The Ruben was soggy, the burgers bun fell apart and the fish n chips were good. Over service was good, though the construction of the food needs help. The rye bread needs to be thicker or the corn beef needs to be not so wet/greasy. The bottom of the sandwich was soaked and could not be held. The hamburger bun was so thin the burger didn't have a chance as the bottom bum feel apart from the burger. Fish n Chips were good, great target sauce. We come here often and have noticed the last couple of times the quality of food is not what it use to be. We love the atmosphere and would love to love the food again.
I discovered they serve meatloaf. I had a craving for some good meatloaf and I was not disappointed. Good flavor and went well with the mashed potatoes & gravy. The place has a pleasant old fashioned vib. It was my first time there & I will return.
