Prospector's Steak & Ale

The $17 - out the door - fried chicken plate was the bomb! 18 oz of chicken nicely seasoned perfectly deep fried mashed potatoes and gravy half ear of corn, and if that wasn't enough, a freshly made freshly grilled. Buttered Biscuit. Mama shut my mouth. :-)

A great find along the highway. The food was really well prepared and tasted great. The staff were very friendly and engaged.

It is easy to miss as it doesn't have a lot of street presence, and the appearance (both inside and out) is a bit unprepossessing, but as a place for great food and great service, it shouldn't be passed up.

Small town feel. Very welcoming on our first visit after moving in to town. Welcomed us by letting us know the events they host and giving us a run down of their hours. Tad the bartender was great and we plan on making this our new outting spot.

Cant wait to meet the regulars!

The food was outstanding, even down to the things like fries, rings, and cheesey bread. My steak was very nicely seasoned, while the cheesesteak, shrimp, and fried fish the others at the table had were all completely demolished. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the staff there did a great job, looking after us so well the entire time. I really can't speak highly enough about them and the food they served.

Went there for the first time today, once for lunch, once for dinner. It's everything you could hope for from a local bar & grill: warm ambience, creatively decked out with a very friendly staff and good food in generous portions. A special shout out to the Philly cheese steak sandwich! Definitely worth a visit.
