I eat here on an almost daily basis for lunch. The food and service are phenomenal. Best of Chengdu offers traditional Chinese dishes as well as Americanized classics. You would be hard pressed to find a better value anywhere in the area.

TASTE OF SICHUAN, not 'best of chengdu"! This is one of our favorite places. Don't be put off by the scraggly "landscaping". The interior is charming, the service outstanding. All the food is great, whether eat-in or take-out. We especially love the veg egg foo yung, but really, we love everything from here.

Under new management, we tried the lunch menu. I chose cut noodle for the beef noodle soup, it matches good with the soup. Beef is tender, but a bit small in pieces. Other dishes are just right for taste and portion. You can choose the level of spicy from 1 to 5. Nice place to go if you like traditional chinese & spicy food .

Most authentic Sichuan food in greater Seattle area. Owners and cook are from Sichuan. We ordered pickled vegetable and fish soup and it was so yummy. It doesn't have the packaged powder smell to it and the soup was really creamy and the pickled vegetables tasted crisp and refreshing. We also ordered the dry pot with pork intestines. It was flawless, crispy but not greasy. Everything was fresh. Waiter was warm and welcoming. We didn't want it too spicy and the cook came out to check on us, which was very nice. You know it's authentic when their least spicy dishes still have red pepper on it. We don't eat spicy food and their mildest is perfect.

Overall we were unimpressed with the food. Lacking any great flavor. It was fine but not for over 10$ a entree. Mongolian beef was rather soft, the onions in the meal were really good however. My girlfriend had some noodles with a spicy chili sauce. Kinda flavorless. To top it off I had a stale fortune cookie. The server was very friendly though and the restaurant was pretty clean. Not a place I would return to though. Rice costs extra
Edit: Both my girlfriend and I have been experiencing stomach and digestive issues since eating here.
