    I love the tendon (tempura bowl) at Muto! The sauce is soooo good.

    Muta Izakaya serves Japanese food in a setting that feels authentic to Japan at least based on the few times that I’ve visited the country. The staff seem to be Japanese as you’ll often be greeted in Japanese and you may even hear the sushi chef shout seemingly random Japanese phrases.

    Anyway, my favorite things to get are the chicken katsu curry and the coffee jelly dessert (although it may be a limited time item).

    - 4 / 5 chicken katsu curry ($13.95)
    - 4.5 / 5 coffee jelly dessert ($5.95). Coffee jelly with a choice of ice cream. It reminds me of the coffee jelly desserts I got in Tokyo

    There is a nice, dim atmosphere here, even when it's busy. I went here a few times and enjoyed it. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with ramen, but every time they have some of the best eggs I've ever had. It is very good. I hope to try the lunch special next time.
