The Chef behind the curtain

We had a lovely meal at Chef Behind the Curtain. All of the food was delicious, well balanced, interesting. The wines were great and staff super friendly. Very cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date night. We made the drive from Seattle and will be doing so again in the future.

Love this establishment! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming – Showed up without a reservation (my date had one – I snuck in at the spur of the moment) but they didn’t mind.

Love trying new things or food prepared in a way I’ve never tried; and the meal, presentation, and wine pairing for every course was amazing. Chef Joel doesn’t make anything that is average.

I encourage anyone that hasn’t been to The Chef Behind the Curtain to try it!

The detail that goes into each course here really blew us away! The wine pairings were a nice touch too. It was a great laid back and welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to go back and treat ourselves.

Amazing food, thoughtful menus, and innovative desserts. Everything is delicious and unique. It’s our favorite date night spot. Fantastic hidden gem. Would recommend for both date nights and large party events. Staff is always lovely and friendly.

What can I say, it was a 745pm reservation and at the last minute I went from a 1 guest to a 2 guest table and they were smiles no matter what I’m sure grumbling in the background. However Joel and Staff were more than accommodating and just the most lovely people to deal with, especially since I order for 2 people with different dishes and my date ordered for himself. I wanted full experience of wines and all the food and it did not disappoint. The chef came out and sat and laughed and we talked about ingredients and food overall. I highly recommend this place as a date night or just for a great meal. Joel and staff understand casual chic and how to please your palate. I can’t believe this is in Snohomish County! It is a must go to see and taste.
