Pryor's is absolutely amazing!!! I recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it. They have some of the best Fish n Chips in the area and the best Clam Chowder ever💯 It's a small but quaint place, which is perfect for dining alone or with others. Also the service is great and the decorations around take you back in time. Can't go wrong with this place, so next time you are in the area, stop a try the greatness which is....Pryor's😎
We arrived early afternoon and our waitress was delightful. It is a cozy little roadside diner. Antique items fill the empty places. This place is filled with character. I had fish and chips. Best fries I've ever had. Fish was good. Tarter and fry sauce came with the meal. I will be going back.
Very good food. Chowder was amazing, had good flavor and wasn't too runny. The fish was some of the best I've ever had, as it was crispy, had excellent flavor, same I could still taste the fish. Fries were also some of the best I've had, they actually taste like potato and were not too greasy or salty. For 4 people, the family bundle is a good deal. As of Sept 2023, $43 for 8 PC fish, large fry (full basket) and 2 chowders OR 4 Coleslaw. Service is very friendly, and I would have never known it was an excellent place based on how the outside looks. Bathrooms are very tiny, like 16-20 sq ft tiny, but again, the food is amazing. Better than Ivar's and skippers and most other places I've had it. Highly recommend, 10/10
Now, I think this place is fine. It's good. If you aren't closer to anything else, you won't be disappointed, but if you drive like 30 minutes to try it, it's a little bit of a bummer. Everything tasted great and the staff were awesome. If I lived there, it would probably be the best. Making a journey to it kind of sets unfair expectations. If it's on the way, definitely hit it. If you have to travel more than 20 minutes, just keep your expectations level.
The fish is hand cut and battered daily! The tartar sauce is handmade and it is the best I have ever tasted! The clam chowder was phenomenal and the french fries were crispy and not soft and soggy and they were not salted but had lots of good flavor!
The inside of Pryor's looks like a fishing museum! It has so many interesting things to see! The food was fresh and hot! The staff is very friendly and fast! We will definitely be back!
There are booths on the inside and more seating outside under a cover.
