As usual, the place was hopping. On an early fall morning, we whipped in for bite and a beverage. Honestly, I was kind of disappointed in the food. No burger option that is topped with lettuce. Not even an option. The nice lady at the window was friendly, but that's about it. The fries were or must have been the last in the bag. Nothing to get excited about. Bummer. But, hey, thanks for trying. Have an incredible day
I feel like my memories of this place are better than the actuality of it these days.
The staff is incredibly unorganized and everyone was flustered…I understand it maybe was just an off day but the inside was pure chaos and orders were coming out in random order. I’m sure this has to do with being under staffed but I think a streamlined method of taking and placing orders and presenting them would be much more efficient and cause the employees a lot less headache and chaos.
The food also wasn’t as good as I have in my memories. The burger was really dry and nothing to write home about. The fry’s were somehow soggy and burnt I dunno. Also needed to be drowned in salt.
The onion rings were spot on though.
Love the atmosphere. There is just something so nice about a joint you order from a window and can enjoy on picnic tables out in the fresh air. Lots of people mingling and chatting. Best part of this place for sure!
Also, don’t blame the place for this one but but our friends almost got ran over by some lady who almost drove right into their table…not exactly sure what was happening but she hit every trash can then just took off. Very bizarre.
I absolutely loved this place. My son and I are breakfast here just because we could. Super tasty burgers and fries. Just a classic historic place. Reminds one of the times past.
If you are in Spokane, you must go, even if just for a snack.
It's awesome. Great service for the most part but we ordered a black raspberry shake and it came out chocolate with a hint of maybe raspberry. Asked the kind lady at the counter and she said it was raspberry so whatever. It wasn't but it was still good so who really cares. The homeless were not as bad as expected. I'll always go back when I get the chance because we like the grub. It's a blast from the past
Service was good, the gal that took our order was nice. It took less than 10 minutes to get our order. Everything was really good. It's not the best walk up window burger I've had but for the price it was a decent burger. The fish & tarter was yummy. Strawberry shake was good & the ice cream sandwich is a must. For $20 we got a lot of food! This is a good place to grab an affordable bite.
