“I've been wanting to come here for months now and finally had the opportunity to. Tracy greeted me and let me pick a table I'd be sharing with my friends once they arrived. She brought out menus for us, as well as some literature about the restaurant and its mission. Needless to say, I was impressed. We were given ample time to order, and when the fish I had ordered arrived, it was hot, fresh and delicious! The potato salad was great, and the food my friends ordered was really good according to them. I will need to come back when the gumbo and Mac and cheese is back on the menu. Looking forward to trying the red beans and rice, cornbread, collards... yeah, it is worth coming back again! I'm not hungry, but still salivating thinking about it. The pies were amazing!”

The staff is friendly and was working at a mile-a-minute, but service was excellent. This place is clean and I observed one of the staff taking the time to wash their hands before filling a drink order. Nice to know they care about that kind of thing. Definitely some of the better Mexican style food I’ve eaten in Spokane. A not-so-hidden gem! At the corner of Mission and Greene, this unassuming little restaruant offers great food at a very reasonable price. Beautiful presentation with ample portions and excellent service inside of a very clean establishment.”

“First time ever here.... Im on a quest to find the best cheap steak in town...these guys did it right! Not bad at all! Was apprehensive with some of the reviews, but came in on a slow night, sat at the bar (which in my humble tends to ensure better service) and they were on it. No issues at all, got full. Taste great-the well drink special I ordered was blaze but it wasn't top shelf bourbon so not their fault. Wasn't pan fried steak either! Which is a huge plus! Baked potato left something to be desired, but it was a russet, and those aren't exactly the best tasting taters for a baked-better as mashed... Music wasn't too loud, no issues with staff, the guy who took my order was friendly enough and focused on what he was doing. Brushed off a drunk who was trying to distract him as he was dealing with another customer's ticket - which is what should be done. All in all I was pleased. Will come back. Edit! Bathroom was cleaner than almost any bar I've ever been in! Hugely impressive!”

“The 3 star rating has nothing to do with the quality of food which was excellent and cooked perfectly as ordered, the service was good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Here's my story. So I found this place on Google and wanted to try it. Liked it immediately when I walked in. Started eating and knew I would be back here. About half way through someone started cleaning the bathrooms about 10' from my table. Whatever cleaner they used came to my table and saturated my nose so that the last 1/3 of my meal tasted like cleaning product and literally ruined my meal which is unfortunate. You need to be aware of things that may interfere with the meal enjoyment. I was gonna give 4 stars but on my 20 min drive home I started getting a headache and stomach ache which I never get so it was upsetting that my first experience here made me sick. First impressions are lasting. I look forward to going back again, BUT I will not be sitting anywhere close to the restroom. ****Update****4/26/23 I've been dying to give them another try and went in at about 11am. I went to the opposite side of the restaurant this time and sat down to a wet floor. ??? And guess what it smelled like, AGAIN. cleaning solution, I mean come on I like a clean place but how bout waiting until there's no food or people around so I can enjoy the actual taste of the food people. You should NEVER CLEAN with strong smelling stuff when people are trying to eat. I may go in again but it won't be anytime soon. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND IT.”

The nachos had a little bit of everything for each chip, the meat was perfectly tender with great flavor.
