Been here several times. Pros: it’s a nice, cozy little place. Clean and quaint and unpretentious. Reasonably priced. The food comes out pretty quick.
Cons: The building is extremely small, so everyone can hear your conversation. The food is just OK. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Just average breakfast food. Also, the service is not too good. Not very friendly.
But if you just want your food quickly delivered to your table with no nonsense and no hassle, this is a good place for that. It’s not a brunch and mimosas and linger-with-your-friends place. It’s a get in and get out type place. Not amazing but not terrible. Pretty middle of the road.
A beacon of hope in a desolate food wasteland known as Steven’s County!!! This place is LEGIT. Everything was cooked right, the taste was of good ingredients/made by them. They were quick, friendly, etc.
Maybe if I make it there a few more times I’ll love it even more. This is what everyone should want for a neighborhood breakfast place - and ironically I drive from Colville to get there because Colville only has good to-go sandwiches for breakfast and garbage from the restaurants.
I have no doubt some will feel like they should serve more or something but I got two buttermilk-huckleberry pancakes and next time plan on one. When it’s good it is filling. This place has good serving sizes - there is just an established history of people wanting a giant pile of garbage whenever they eat in the area. People forgot what real food is, and hopefully this place will remind them.
Neat, cozy breakfast spot. Stopped here passing through from the east coast. Service was super friendly, homemade buttermilk syrup was amazing - just all around great experience! If I’m ever in this part of WA again, it’ll be a definite stop!
my chicken fried steak was legit the best I have ever had! wife got a monte cristo she enjoyed but thought the fries could have been crispier. great, friendly service and fairly priced.
This is a small country town business that has a small town country charm. The facility is clean (but small), with clean restrooms with plenty of hot water and soap. This is a family business with limited hours. As a result the prices are are a little higher than comparable places.
The food is good and the portions adequate. But it gives you another alternative to dine in chewelah. Final comment, the staff was friendly and good natured and the table service was excellent. An update in March 2021. Inside is back. And the food is just as good. During these tough economic times support your local vendors
