Lodge Wood Fired Grill

This is the nicest restaurant at Great Wolf Lodge and has things like steak and seafood compared to the burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips and pizza elsewhere at the lodge. We have eaten here a couple of times and the experience is rather hit or miss. Sometimes you will get great server sometimes you will not. Sometimes the food will be great and sometimes just average. The prices are what you would expect from a fancier place but the experience doesn't match the price. That said we normally come once per trip because it is on-site and has a menu with lots of options. The bar however is pretty good. Great service and mainly pretty good drinks.

Food that was designed to be fancy and impressive, executed indifferently at best. We came for lunch. The kids’ meals pleased the kids. The blackened salmon Caesar was surprising — the salad was served like a wedge, requiring me to cut up two halves of a romaine heart while working around the salmon filet (which had way too much blackening seasoning, so it was over-salted). The house-fried potato chips apparently are seasoned with some sugar? My spouse’s crispy chicken sandwich special was nothing special and a bit messy. No reason to eat here unless you’re staying at GWL, and even then you might want to think twice.

It’s nice you can grab a burger in the water park overall not bad but as expected not great.
