The coffee and baristas are wonderful. Very friendly girls. The location was not good. I had a very hard time finding it. With 3 other coffee stands very close and no real signage I was lucky to even find it. I know some owners of another cafe elite and my favorite one is on pacific Avenue so I thought I would try this one. Like I said the girls, I think Grace and Jacquelyn were their names, were great but the fact that it's inconvenient I probably won't go back again.
I love the Hawks Prairie Café Elite! Every barista I've had has been so nice and they always make an effort to make my experience a great one! The drinks are wonderful and I finally had a chance to sit inside and it's just lovely! Great place!
Great drinks and great customer service, Treat you like family.
My oat milk with honey and cinnamon latte was delicious. Other than that, I wasn’t a huge fan of the place. I was hoping to set up shop there for a few hours and get some work done, but the seating I chose was super uncomfortable and after about 20 minutes of hunching over to read my laptop screen my back was sore. I thought about moving to a different table instead of the high bar, but all the tables seemed too far from any outlets to charge my laptop. The space wasn’t very comfy, and although I get the vibe they were going for, it seemed kinda cold and unwelcoming. The wood tables were super cute, but very rough, and after hearing from one of the baristas that the owners put the tables together themselves, it kinda made sense. Shortly after that I got a wood splinter… I think they would be more welcoming if they were properly sanded down and stained. Even though I wasn’t a fan of the space, the coffee was great and the baristas were super friendly/helpful and I think that’s the most important thing honestly. I probably won’t be coming back to study, but I’m sure I’ll be back for a latte at some point.
Oh- every time a customer came in, it seemed like they would compare their coffee/cold brew/etc to cutters point coffee… I don’t know if the baristas were told specifically to do that but it seemed kinda unprofessional, and a little weird. Maybe try to build a positive clientele for your own company with great service and coffee and don’t try to tear down other local businesses…
I know the owners of a couple of the cutter points and they would never say anything bad about a local business, even if they’re a competitor.
