This is authentic German cuisine. If you want schnitzel, then you need to dine here. They offer a large variety of schnitzel preparations of all kinds. There must be around a dozen offerings. There are sandwhiches and salads as well. For those that have a sweet tooth, they have a variety of cakes and other tasty baked goods. The staff is friendly, and attentive. This is the best offering of German cuisine I have had in the US. It is real German cooking, offered by people that are clearly German. If you are not local, it is worth the time, and drive. The portions are large and prices are small, when considering the meals served.
I was a little sad about the decor and lack of a bar. However, the food made up for it. Not sure about the owner, she seemed harried and frustrated but our server was amazing. A great gem of German food in Lacey!
I discovered this place about 6 months ago when I took my German wife here as one of our first dates. I was hoping it would remind her of home which she had been missing a lot and was not disappointed. The owner and some of her servers are directly from Germany so I forced my wife to talk to them all the time in German. My wife and I love it here and love the food, it’s authentic as you can get. I can only really recommend the jägerschnitzel and spätzle because that’s all I ever order. The house dressing is also very good, I always get it with the salad, and even now buy my own little jars of it to bring home. My wife and I have come here every weekend since I discovered this place and although she returns to Germany for a while soon I will continue to return here at least once every week. I hope this review, also being my first that I decided to make on google, should stand as pretty good reputation for this place!
This place is great with authentic German food. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and from Germany if you want to practice your language skills!
This place makes my comfort food. It's the food my great grandma taught my dad to make. Lovely schnitzels, great potato salad. I haven't had their red cabbage yet but I'll get some next time. We took two slices of wonderful looking cake home for dessert.
