Jim Bob's Chuck Wagon

I was recently in Lacey for a training with my company. I decided to come here for my lunch. And that’s the start of a story that I will never forget.

It start with me unsure about going into a BBQ centered restaurant knowing I don’t eat meat this was an interesting venture. But hey I wanted to eat with friends who were going there too. I ask if they have any vegetarian options and at first the lady and man at the counter seemed taken aback. They offered a salad and listed some toppings as options. Going out on a limb, I asked if they had avocado. Now it’s important to note that there was no avocado on the menu anywhere, but what the lady at the register did have was her OWN avocado she brought from home that day, and she shared it with me for my salad!

Idk, maybe this is a really silly story that seems really small and not noteworthy, but it’s so hard to find good baseline service at non-fancy restaurants. But going above and beyond is exactly what this employee did. The salad wasn’t only amazing, it was made with the best ingredient in the world. Love.

I hope this message gets to the people who run the restaurant so they know how grateful I am for their hospitality and accommodation. Thank you, you made my day with this small act of kindness and I will never drive by Lacey without stopping here for a bite to eat, and I suggest all who read this do the same.

I'm from the South and this was my first visit. WONDERFUL Breakfast! Great Folks as well. Loved how the staff have a real interaction with the customers. There was even a gentleman they gave some ribs to for his Birthday! I could tell he was a regular. I'll be back for some Ocra!

Walk in hungry. They'll take good care of you. Very personable staff and great chow. I've enjoyed every visit.

We were here today for a late breakfast with out of town friends and were very happy with our experience. We had 2 babies under 2 with us and the amazing waitress came and served us at our table. It wasn't until we were cashing out that we realized that this was a counter service restaurant, and she just came and took our orders to make it easier for us! That kind of service is above and beyond! The food was also very good! We will be back to try some BBQ very soon!

1st time customer. AMAZING food, prompt service, & top notch hospitality. I had the brisket sloppy Joe, fiance had fish & chips w/chowder, & daughter had biscuits & gravy. They serve breakfast ALL DAY you guys!! So helpful when you have a picky preschooler. Mind the sauce station under the mirrors. I thought my sandwich was dry until I realized you add the sauce to your personal preference. We'll be back for sure!! ????????
